Making History

Making History

New Construction

The owners of this incredible property and their architect approached us with an unusual request. They wanted a new home, yet they wanted it to look like an older cottage which had been added on to over the years. The intention was to create a structure that not only fit in with other homes in the area, but one that also appeared to share the history of the community—in fact, it is now often mistaken for one of the original homes in the area.

Everyone involved shared the same vision of a structure built with period-correct materials and top-notch craftsmanship. We had to prove we could meet the wishes of the whole team regarding design, price, and timing. We’re proud to know the owner believes we were successful in all three areas. And we’re also honored to have maintained great relationships with members of this team to this day, from what was one of our first and most memorable projects.
